Bulb and Ballast Recycling We are the actual lamp and ballast recycling facility, not a broker. The lamps are crushed and divided into 3 parts: 1. Clean glass that is recycled into other products. 2. Aluminum which is recycled into other products. 3. The Mercury is refined and reused.
PCB AND NON PCB BALLAST Proper handling and disposal of PCB and DEHP contaminated fluorescent light ballast services are listed below in the order of occurrence: Site delivery of DOT approved 55 gallon steel drums with lid, sealing ring and gasket. The completion and filing of all necessary forms and state manifest, along with labels for each generator. Transportation of the ballast from the generator's facility to our recycling and transfer station. Upon receipt at our facility, all drums are immediately tagged with generator's name, contents, date or pick-up, weight (includes packaging), identification, number, and unit count. Ballast are scheduled for separation, weight reduction and recycling. Incinerator is contacted and pick-up is scheduled. Final manifestation, incineration will be completed at Laidlaw Environmental Services, Inc. Deer Park, Texas. US EPA ID# TXD055141378. Incineration is to be completed within 12 months of removal. A Certificate of Destruction will be issued to the generator within 30-60 days thereafter. Upon completion of all incineration, Laidlaw owns and operate a Landfill Site at Deer Park, Texas for exclusive use of all remaining ash left after their incineration process. Laidlaw is the only incinerator able to claim this. USA Lights will provide the customer a certificate of recycling and all paperwork regarding the pickup within 30 days from the date of pickup.
